Four of Michael J. Fox’s kids have announced the awful news
Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991, when he was still in his twenties. He initially kept the diagnosis private while continuing his acting career and raising his family.
In 1998, he publicly discussed his condition and began using his platform to increase awareness about Parkinson’s disease and the importance of medical research.
His experience with Parkinson’s has become an important part of his public story, but Fox has consistently emphasized that the condition does not represent his entire identity. His career, marriage, fatherhood, friendships, and advocacy work have all remained important parts of his life.
